Disaster Risk Reduction Educational Materials for Pre-school and Elementary School Students: Cultural Tuning from Japanese Version to Mexican Version

“BOSAI DUCK” is a series of disaster risk reduction educational materials developed in Japan. These materials were culturally tuned to align with the culture of Zihuatanejo, Mexico, by a team comprising teachers in Zihuatanejo’s National Center for Disaster Prevention, and Japanese researchers, transforming “BOSAI DUCK” into “PROTECTION JAGUAR.” How are these educational materials being used in Zihuatanejo? This video follows the process from cultural attuning through dissemination.
